Derek Ugochukwu is a Dublin-based writer/director who writes modern-day fiction of the Black-Irish community. His written short, 'To All My Darlings' was shortlisted for BAFTA Awards and won the Best Short at Dublin International Film Festival 2021. His directorial debut 'You’re Not Home' won the ENGINE competition, premiered at Galway Film Fleadh 2022 where Derek was also nominated for the Bingham Ray New Talent Award. He is currently developing his first feature screenplay with Screen Ireland.
